My First Blog Post Ever!

Daphne Liz

This is a first for me!  I have never done a blog before and so I am not sure what you might want to read about.  I guess I will just put down my thoughts and hope you find some interest in them.  Here I go…

I am thinking all about Zen Kin® lately.  I am going to be attending three events very soon that are all about art and Zentangle® art.  I have recently made several Zen Kin®gifts to have available if any of the other participants would like to take a Zen Kin®home with them.  I love to see the smiles my Zen Kin® bring to the faces of those that see them and I love to share.

One of the events I will be attending is Certified Zentangle® Teacher Seminar #32.  I became a Certified Zentangle® Teacher in April of 2016.  It was Seminar #22.  I am repeating the seminar, not because it is required or even suggested, but because I want to experience it all over again.  Being with Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas and their family and staff at the training is unforgettable and their teaching is so well received.  The care and compassion that they all have for the company they created is obvious.  I will enjoy seeing many Zentangle® enthusiasts and I will reconnect with a few fellow CZTs that are also repeating seminar.

The most exciting aspect of attending this seminar is that I am taking with me my sister-in-law, Rosemary.  I have so much love and respect for her and am looking forward to sharing time and space and experience with her.  She has so much to offer the world and becoming certified to teach the Zentangle® method will be one more asset to her many abilities to open up the world to others.  She is a nature lover has dedicated much of her life to teaching others about nature.  I can just imagine her teaching the organic tangles to those she encounters along her path!

There are two other events that I will be attending and I will update with those when I get back.  I am not sure I can say why I go to these events.  Is it because of all the wonderful people that I get to meet and enjoy from all over the world?  Is it the wonderful lessons that I am taught?  Is it the travel and the chance to dedicate my time for something I dearly love?  I know that it is all of these things.  I think I would have to say that it is mostly the people.  I have met some of the most wonderful, warm, giving, delightful people through this Zentangle® journey of mine.  Starting with the founders and all the way to the people who have just discovered this method of drawing, I have found their appreciation of the art to be contagious and exhilarating.

I hope that you are all enjoying something in your life that gives you great satisfaction and something that you are passionate about.  Live with passion!  Tangle On!

Katrina
